The patient's concerns were: Would it be painful? Would it reduce the tooth structure much? Would it require temporaries? and finally, Would they be durable? These were all very valid questions. The answers were: No pain during or after the procedure. Very minimal tooth reshaping. No temporaries were needed and yes, they are very durable. This was a beautiful case. Both she and her husband were very happy with the result. I was told the husband said 'It made her look younger.' What else needs to be said.....

Before and After
These photos say it all. The final result created a natural, protective and esthetic restoration which made the patient and her husband very happy. We restored the front 4 teeth creating a very pleasing appearance. The patient later told me she had no pain, no sensitivity and got used to them very quickly.
Before and After
Porcelain veneers can correct several types of defects in tooth structure. They can restore lost tooth due to grinding or chipping. They can also correct the sizing and make the teeth follow the golden proportions, which in turn creates balance. These restorations also changed the positions of the smaller side teeth and created an even arch form. When put together, the final result was a beautiful, balanced, natural smile.
This patient was referred by his wife. His chief complaint was the chip on the edge of the tooth (an old filling). As is often the case, there are many other features which need modifying in order to achieve a high level of esthetics. We informed the patient of these possibilities. He was most eager to go ahead with the recommendation for 2 front tooth porcelain veneers.
Before and After
This case was such a success because of proper planning and good communication with the dental laboratory. Using a pre-eval wax up and clear plastic stent or aligner, we were able to 'test drive' the direction and see what the proposed changes would look like. Various features were addressed, namely, the length, width and shape. A beautiful, predictable result.
Before and After
One can really appreciate the changes when seen from a different view. The added length was only 1.5 mm and yet the change is so apparent in the smile.
Before and After
A wonderful smile .'no eyes please'. I don't want anyone to know I have adjusted my front teeth. Actually, no one would be able to tell, as they look so natural.
We all want whiter teeth. However, sometimes, it takes more than tooth lightening to accomplish the change requested. Here we mixed porcelain crowns with porcelain veneers to balance the smile. We will continue farther back in the arch at a later date.
Before and After
Porcelain laminates or porcelain veneers combined with all porcelain crowns, can really give one the smile they desire and deserve.
Before and After
This case of the combination porcelain veneers and porcelain crowns addressed the patient's concerns to get a nicer smile and have whiter teeth. Just a note, these photos are 6 yrs later.

We are proud to offer our services to the residents of New York City (NYC) and its surrounding areas: Bronx, Larchmont, New Rochelle, Mamaroneck, Rye, Harrison, Brooklyn, Mt Vernon, Queens, Manhattan and more!
Before and After
There are many different ways to improve a person's smile. Sometimes, the number one recommended method, namely orthodontics, is not the chosen path. This can be due to not wanted brackets or bands for several years or just wanting a more immediate result. Porcelain veneers or porcelain laminates are not miracle treatments. Although they will improve a smile, the patient may have to make certain compromises. Mostly it is the dentist that sees the deviation from ideal. The patient has chosen to accept the compromise and is thrilled with the result.
Before and After
It is hard to believe what a difference these porcelain veneers made to this person. She now had a beautiful smile.
Before and After
This was such a nice result, I thought you might appreciate seeing it again...
Often, it can be years after the initial suggestion to make an improvement, that the actual makeover is first started. Such was the case here, where it was almost 5yrs later. Porcelain laminates or veneers, can change how one feels when they look in the mirror or flash a happy smile in someone else's direction.
Before and After
Porcelain laminates remarkably change every aspect of the original tooth to create nice balance and contour.
Before and After
Notice how the teeth were so abraded and had lost the proportions they originally had due to grinding.
Not all people come to our dental office thinking about cosmetic dentistry or smile makeovers. Most often, they are looking for a dentist that will care for them with honesty, compassion, and concern for their well-being. This gentleman had been a long-standing patient, that decided it was time to correct the open spaces and misaligned teeth with porcelain laminates. We treated the front six teeth and achieved a wonderful cosmetic result.
Before and After
Cosmetic dentistry created a picture perfect smile, correcting the spacing chipping and misaligned front teeth. This transformation took 3 visits, including the custom wax-ups and smile analysis.
Before and After
Lots of smiling going on here.
Sometimes we can all exist with what we have. However at some point one may decide to improve the situation. Such was the case with this attractive young woman. She desired to have straight teeth and wanted a whiter smile. She did not want a full smile makeover. We were able to balance her wants and desires with a fine result.
Before and After
Crooked teeth can be corrected without orthodontics (braces) in special cases. This was ideal. Teeth that are set inwards lend well to the addition of porcelain laminates or porcelain veneers. They build out the defect and straighten the teeth and lighten or whiten the smile at the same time. We were able to do this with only 2 ceramic veneers (at the patient's request).
Before and After
Notice how out of alignment the second tooth from the center was. We were able to bring it into alignment with the simple addition of a thin porcelain shell, bonded to the outside of the tooth. This procedure required very little tooth preparation. What a nice result. She loved it. These post-operative photos were taken Oct. 17, 2007, four years after the treatment. Look how they resist stains and keep the gums healthy. A beautiful service for someone who didn't want a full smile makeover, just a mini smile enhancement.
Before and After
One happy patient. She loves her new smile.
This young woman, decided after several years, that she wanted her smile to improve. The two front teeth were perfect. However, the second tooth on either side was much smaller and rotated. In addition, the back premolars were pushed in causing the space on the side to appear excessive. So, we were given the OK and another beautiful smile. The challenge here, was to match the front teeth exactly. You be the judge...
Before and After
The before and after is so dramatic. People, however, can live with the before for quite some time. At some point, they make up their mind that they want to improve their smile. Sometimes, it is just the porcelain veneer placement on 2 teeth that makes all the difference in the world.
Before and After
If you hadn't seen the before photo, you would have been hard pressed to tell which are the natural teeth and which ones had porcelain (ceramic) veneers placed. Here, the teeth were whitened first, then the veneer was matched to the new color. A perfect match and another happy patient.
This gentleman never really seemed concerned about his smile. Until, one day...... He decided to go for it. He wanted a nicer smile with a natural appearance and spaces filled in. One has to be ready to make a change. It can be a scary step. However, once the scale has tipped towards wanting to achieve a long held desire there is no stopping. It also helps to have your spouse come in on the day of the preliminary temporary stent try in. (no tooth touching, only a try in of what things would look like) and have her like what she sees and want it for her husband. The rest is easy.
Before and After
The pre-op photo shows the grinding damage to fairly dark teeth. There were multiple spaces present and the lack of protection from the canines (eye teeth - the third one from center) caused the prospect of future grinding and loss of tooth structure. This patient requested only the most natural result. He didn't want the Hollywood white smile. He wanted a natural smile that blended well with his other teeth. That's what he got.
Before and After
An example of a loss of tooth structure due to grinding. It starts out with a loss of the 3rd tooth height (canine) and then like dominoes the next in line becomes worn. Check out your canines. Do they appear worn? This could be happening to you.
Before and After
Temporaries in place as a guide to evaluate what the patient likes or doesn't like. They are then customized to give the look the patient is seeking. Then, that information is sent to the lab by model and the final result with the patient's input is realized.
Before and After
It is necessary to communicate with the patient to find out what they are after and give them a chance to convey that to you. Once you have it, then have a way for the patient to visualize the result. If all is well go to the finish. The patient will never be disappointed if they chose the result. This case was all ceramic porcelain veneers.
This fine fellow had worn down and fractured his 2 front teeth. We proceeded to restore them with ceramic porcelain veneers (laminates). We were able to match the original size and shape. The result was incredible. It was strong and beautifully natural. He loved them.
Before and After
A nice result. We recommended the four front teeth. The patient felt that just the 2 front teeth satisfied his esthetic eye. We did too.
After checking all over the area, this pleasant lady decided to replace crowns on her back teeth, which had fractured in 2 yrs. She was also concerned about the dark areas on her gums. After replacing the back 4 or 5 crowns. She was so amazed at how well they looked, that she felt comfortable in allowing us to give her a new smile and properly support the front teeth.
Before and After
There were old composites (white fillings) discolorations, uneven edges and rotated and crooked teeth to deal with. We created a beautiful smile for this patient in 2 visits.
Before and After
After preparing the front teeth, we temporized the teeth with provisionals which had been made from previously fabricated diagnostic wax ups to the ideal set up. This could then be customized to the patient's preference.
Before and After
A beautiful result.
This lovely lady came from across the county to see what could be done to help her with her smile. She had come to us in pain, with a fractured root on the upper left front tooth. This required removal, so we needed to fabricate a combination bridge and laminate case.
Before and After
After removal of the front left tooth, we fabricated a provisional bridge. This was made from a carefully designed wax up template of the ideal expected result. We then transferred the wax up data to the patient's mouth. After, shows the result of following the cosmetic plan allowing the patient to receive what she had tried out in the temporary.
Before and After
After preparing the surrounding teeth and removing the fractured tooth, we were able to create a lovely, natural smile which was exactly to the patient's specifications in terms of color, length and shape. Both esthetic crowns and porcelain laminates can achieve these results. The photo on the right, shows the temporary stage. It gives the patient a preview.
Before and After
Nothing like a happy patient.
Before and After
Both are post op photos. This was one happy lady. She was now not only able to smile with confidence. But, she had a solid, functional restoration which would allow her to have a healthy mouth for years to come.
This 38 year old patient wanted to have a more pleasant smile. However, she had several issues we had to address to achieve the desired effect. The large space, the mid line deviation, and the misalignment of the arch.

Before and After
This patient came in for a routine cleaning and checkup. She wanted lighter colored teeth. I suggested that we lighten the teeth and then correct the problems with the two front teeth with porcelain laminates, matching the color of the laminates to the newly lightened surrounding teeth.
Before and After
A beautiful result that made this patient quite happy.
Before and After
The final result shows how naturally a veneer can be blended to match surrounding teeth.
This fine gentleman is presented with porcelain veneers on his two front teeth. His desire was to improve his esthetics. I felt we could substantially improve his smile by replacing the 'old' laminates.
Before and After
Before and After
A nice match to natural teeth. This is one of the most difficult things in dentistry.
This retired woman came to us because her direct bonding near the gum line had fallen off. We suggested porcelain laminates. She felt that she would be unable to tolerate anything artificial covering her teeth. We did a chair side mock up of what she would look like without touching the teeth. She loved it and the rest is history.
Before and After
These are the provisionals. They allow us to fine tune and customize each and every aspect to what the patient wants.
Before and After
Just a look at this nice lady's facial expression. It tells the whole story.
Before and After
As teeth wear, due to grinding or other forces, they become less and less visible within the frame of the smile. Lengthening the front teeth bring back that youthful appearance. It's never too late to feel good about yourself.
